A soliloquy refers to the act of speaking one's thoughts aloud when by oneself or regardless of listeners. We hope to provide a compassionate space for individuals (ages 4 and up), couples, and families to share their experiences and find healing through collaborative and integrative counseling and play therapy.
We offer a variety of counseling services to meet the unique needs of our clients, including individual therapy, couples counseling, and family therapy. Both traditional talk therapy and play therapy are available for all of the demographics served at Soliloquy. At this time, each of these services will be provided via teletherapy. We are an LGBTQIA+, Latinx, Woman-Owned small business who are accepting of all populations including but not limited to: LGBTQIA+ individuals/couples/families, all religions, non-religions, spiritual beliefs, all races, ethnicities, and creeds.
We are dedicated to the use of play therapy, experiential techniques, and humanistic approaches to ensure that the client experience is validated and prioritized. As a systemic therapist, I encourage each of my clients to integrate their loved ones into therapy, whether it be literally or figuratively. By acknowledging the combined impact that personal experiences and social systems can have, the client/clients may use this perspective to view themselves with increased compassion and understanding.
I recently graduated from Regis University in Denver, CO with a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy. In 2021, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. After facing my own mental health struggles, I realized my passion for the various psychological approaches that aid those in personal and relational distress. I found that my love of humor and laughter combined with therapeutic research aligned with play therapy and the rest is history! I hope to develop therapeutic relationships with people who are dedicated to their healing, as well as find the joy and humor that healing can often provide.
Child Centered Play Therapy, Experiential Play Therapy, Filial Play Therapy, Attachment-Based Play Therapy, Sand Tray and Directive Play Therapy are the approaches that we specialize in here at Soliloquy Counseling.
At Soliloquy, the genuine connection and belief in our clients is of the utmost importance. Experiential, humanistic, narrative, internal family systems (IFS), and constructivist theories are the typical approaches used in therapy. Solution focused techniques are also utilized in session in an effort to prioritize goal work and positive psychology.
It is integral at Soliloquy that relational dynamics are explored so that the client(s) can gain insights from their past to grow in the present. Through the use of systemic techniques, such as genograms, collaborative and creative experiences are employed to provide holistic therapy in every session.
